North Yorkshire Ryedale Rumble 9 August 2009.

Last summer while out walking we watched cyclists whizz by, well peddle as quickly as they could, on what was a very hot day, across North Yorkshire. This year the Ryedale Rumble is to take place on Sunday 9th August 2009.

The event will start and finish at St. Martin’s Ampleforth Preparatory School at Gilling Castle.

Cyclists can choose from one of 3 routes,
RUMBLE 1 180km
Only recommended for experienced riders as the route take in excess of 5 hours and includes several
challenging climbs including: Boltby Bank, Blakey Ridge and Rosedale Chimney

RUMBLE 2 130km

RUMBLE 3 92km

Once again the RUMBLE will be organised by the Yorkshire region of BRITISH CYCLING with valuable assistance from Ampleforth College. To offer flexibility and ensure minimum inconvenience to other road users the event will not have a massed start. Instead riders can start in their own time within the timescale provided.

Good luck to all the competitors, Katie x
