Each year the owner / curator of Newby Hall, Lucinda Compton, selects up to 60 pieces of contemporary sculpture to display in the Halls beautiful woodland and gardens.
The Sculpture Park is open from 2nd June until Newby closes at the end of the season. It features a wide variety of styles from figurative to highly abstract, innovatively using contemporary metals, wire, glass, ceramics and plastics as well as the more traditional stone, wood and bronze.
The sculptors who exhibit are from all over the world. There is a mix of work from well known artists like Sir Anthony Caro and William Pye and work by young, up and coming artists.
Entrance is free with a gardens only ticket.
